What this policy covers
It covers personal data we process when you visit this website, when you contact us through the channels linked from it, and when you take part in or commission a production. It does not cover Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or any other third-party platform, which each have their own privacy policies.
Data we collect and why
Technical data when you visit. Our hosting provider records standard server logs when your browser requests a page: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages requested and timestamps. We use this to serve the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Preferences stored in your browser. The site stores two small pieces of information in your browser's local storage: whether you have already seen the intro animation, and the contents of a shopping cart if you add items. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Legal basis: strictly necessary for the functionality you asked for.
Messages you send us. When you contact us on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or by email, we receive your username or email address, the content of your message and anything you attach. We use it to reply and, if you book us, to plan and deliver the work. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, then performance of that contract.
Booking and client data. If you commission a session or production we collect your name, contact details, the shoot location and dates, details of the people taking part, payment records and the footage and photographs we create. We use this to deliver the service, invoice you, meet our accounting obligations and defend our legal rights. Legal basis: contract performance, legal obligation and legitimate interest.
Footage and photographs of people. Our work involves images and voices of identifiable people. Where we film on commission we rely on the client's consent and on releases signed by participants. Where we publish work in our portfolio or on social media we do so with the permission of the client and, where required, the people shown. If you appear in our work and want it removed, see the section on your rights below.
Cookies and tracking
We do not currently set any tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run analytics scripts on this site. If that changes we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it and update this policy.
Embedded YouTube videos. Our portfolio embeds videos from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced domain, which does not set cookies until you press play. Once you play a video, Google may collect data about that activity under its own terms. See Google's privacy policy.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with:
- Vercel, which hosts this website and processes server logs on our behalf.
- Amazon Web Services, which stores and serves some of the images and video files on the site. Your browser sends your IP address to AWS when it loads those files.
- Google / YouTube, when you play an embedded video.
- Meta (Instagram), TikTok and Google (YouTube), when you choose to contact us through those platforms.
- Accountants, payment processors, lawyers and insurers where needed to run the business, and public authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based outside your country. Where data leaves the EU, UK or another jurisdiction with transfer rules, we rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent recognised safeguard.
How long we keep data
- Server logs: retained by our hosting provider for a short rolling period, typically under 30 days.
- Messages and enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client records, contracts and invoices: for as long as required by tax and accounting law in Israel, typically 7 years.
- Footage and photographs: raw material is kept for the period stated in our Booking Terms, and delivered work is kept as part of our archive and portfolio unless you ask us to remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Residents of California and some other US states have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal data as those terms are defined in US state law.
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@filmingitall.com. We will respond within one month, or sooner where the law requires it. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
If you appear in our work. If you are recognisable in a video or photograph we have published and you did not consent, or you have changed your mind, tell us which piece and where you appear. We will review and, where we are able to, remove or edit it.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 through it. Where children take part in a commissioned production, we require the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Footage and client files are stored with access controls and backed up. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold and will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
